Their relationship to Christ was the unifying factor of the church. I lead a small group so I sometimes have to sit in meetings where the pastor shares things about the vision of our church. Why are these thing SO important? Lovelessness among Christians is not a light thing.. We have Jesus only groups even today. Verse 12 tells us the source of this problem. In Matthew 12:25 the Lord Jesus says, Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself shall not stand.. By focusing on Jesus we can see how important the parts of church really are. The Corinthian Church. We need to be perfectly joined together in the love of Christ. Something shows up sooner or later as an identifying badge that marks them as "special," with special privilege and special status in that group.
