Bout it cause it looked cool and from my favorite movie. Kind of heavy but overall a very good buy. Alot of the other reviewers are also saying how sharp it is, where that is my only disagreement. Although not recommended this is a beast and anywhere I've taken it people have been in awe. Overall excellent buy and money well spent. However,it will cut through nails but it will also put a nasty nick in the blade so,unless you know how to take a deep nick out of the blade,DON'T DO IT! I've been making Damascus blade weapons for 30+ years, and I've got dozens of original swords from 1000s of years till WWl. It's 'sharp', but because it's so thick it's more like an axe-kinda sharp instead of sword. The point is sharp from the get go. I just got the sword and the tip of the sword already broke off. Made in China as you could guess, but seems a pretty solid job; cant go wrong with Carbon Steel.
Weight is definitely there so, just be sure you've got the muscle if you intend to swing it.

NOT TO MENTION I GOT MINE IN ONLY 2 DAYS!! And just as a wise swords master once said, "the heavier the sword, the easier it is to cut an opponent in half." Handling it's obvious. The traditional sword, which this sword is modeled after, is the Kopis, It is roughly the same, the handle is very similar, but the blade is a little exaggerated.
